Alvarez ABT60 Baritone Reviews 5

This is a baritone acoustic with no electronics and a fantastic value. Spruce top, rosewood fretboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, very well made. I am an acoustic player for over 50 years. Gigging musician. Play all types of music. Even some acoustic versions of 'heavier' styles.

This is a new offering from Alvarez. Finally someone made a quality baritone acoustic that is affordable. A musician can afford to experiment with a baritone. Purchased retail, brand new for $329. Bought from Larry's Music in Wooster, OH. Top notch service. Questions emailed to St. Louis Music (Alvarez's American distributor) were handled within hours. Customer service does not get any better!

Spruce top, rosewood fretboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, very well made. Double rossette, abalone and wood. Not super fancy looking, just nice.

Bridge pins were not adequate and had to be replaced. The slots were too narrow and the strings were binding in the pins. I replaced with brass locking pins.

Very nicely constructed and finished. Found no flaws. If you have an itch to try a baritone guitar, this is a good place to start. Probably the only one you would ever need. Added passive internal transducers for $20 (jjb electronics) with great success

This is an unbeatable value. Most Baritone guitars cost 6-10 times as much and this guitar plays very, very well. It is nicely constructed with good materials. Very good sound quality. Highly recommended.
